NHK has learned that Japan's first supply of an experimental coronavirus vaccine being developed by British pharmaceutical giant AstraZeneca may be provided between next January and March.

Japanese health ministry officials reported the development to NHK. This is the first time that a schedule for a domestic coronavirus vaccine supply has emerged.

Foreign visitor numbers to Japan have fallen again for a fourth straight month. Figures for January show a steep decline in tourists from South Korea.

Tourism operators are also preparing for the impact of the coronavirus epidemic. That's expected to hit the industry from February onwards.

Sony's 2019 mid-rangers, the Xperia 10 and 10 Plus have received a new firmware update that moves the build number from 53.0.A.14.28 to version 53.0.A.14.47. Sony is rolling out 1 January 2020 Android security patches to the Xperia 1 and Xperia 5 smartphones. Both phones have received new firmware that moves the build number from 55.1.A.0.748 to version 55.1.A.3.49. Sony does not include any changelogs, which remains a frustration, but there do not look like there are any other changes. Johnny's Jr. group MADE have announced that they will disband on January 31. 

On their fan club site, the group announced, "We, MADE, would like to announce that we will be disbanding on January 31, 2020." Inaba Hikaru, Tomioka Kento, and Fukushi Nobuki will continue their activities as solo artists of Johnny's & Associates. However, Akiyama Taiga will be leaving the agency, also on January 31, to pursue a career in choreography.
