Japan's main ruling Liberal Democratic Party is moving forward with plans to choose its next leader, with a slimmed down election in just two weeks.

The winner will replace Prime Minister Abe Shinzo when he steps down to deal with his health problems.

Members of Japan's ruling party have compiled draft measures to make it easier to identify people who have posted anonymous bullying messages online.

The move followed the death of Kimura Hana, a professional wrestler and reality TV star who is believed to have killed herself after being cyberbullied.

A video of Nishikido Ryo, Akanishi Jin, Yamada Takayuki, and Oguri Shun having an online drinking party has been uploaded onto N/A's official YouTube channel. 

In the beginning, Nishikido appears alone wearing a baseball cap. Then Akanishi appears on screen from his home in the U.S. saying, "I was taking a shower." Followed by Yamada who makes his appearance with an electronic cigarette, and finally Oguri Shun with a plain white t-shirt and beard. 

Officials of Japan's governing Liberal Democratic Party say the party will postpone its convention due to the new coronavirus outbreak.

They say the party will officially announce its postponement on Friday, based on discussions on the matter so far following the spread of infections.

The Japanese Communist Party, or JCP, has amended its platform for the first time in 16 years. It has also adopted a resolution intended to strengthen its cooperation with opposition parties.

The party finished a five-day convention in Atami, Shizuoka Prefecture, on Saturday.
