'Star Wars Episode I: Racer' coming to PS4 and Switch in May

For the first time ever, the popular pod-racing video game "Star Wars Episode 1: Racer," will be available to Playstation fans on the PS4. A revamped version of the game is set to be released on the Sony console, as well as the Nintendo Switch, on May 12.

Star Wars previously brought the game back to life for PC, and now it is further expanding its universe not only to the versatile Switch gaming system but to the PS4, as well. The new version will be framed around the original but will have updated features for a better gameplay.

'burnout Paradise Remastered' Launches On Nintendo Switch This Year

'Burnout Paradise Remastered' launches on Nintendo Switch this year

One of the best racing games of the previous generation of game consoles (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC), "Burnout Paradise" got a visual remaster and re-release a couple of years ago for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. This year, it gets added to one more system, the Nintendo Switch, so you can enjoy the fast paced vehicular destruction anywhere.

Besides offering high-speed fun on the go, "Burnout Paradise Remastered" coming to the Switch is significant because this is the first time it will have been available for a Nintendo console. With the original release, Nintendo's only home console, the Wii, didn't have the digital horsepower to handle the high-definition graphics of the then-new Burnout game. So publisher EA and developer Criterion Games didn't create a version for the system. The remaster skipped the Nintendo Wii U, too, which considering the system's sales, wasn't a terrible idea. So this marks the first time for Nintendo loyalists to play the game.

Nope, No New Nintendo Switch Models Are Being Planned For 2020

As it turns out, those rumors are wrong yet again. This is according to Nintendo’s CEO and President Shuntaro Furukawa who said that the company has no plans to launch a new Switch model in 2020. While Furukawa acknowledges that the Switch is in the halfway through its hardware lifecycle, he believes that they can still get more out of the current model instead of releasing a new one.

According to Furukawa, “According to the conventional wisdom for dedicated video game platforms, Nintendo Switch should be entering the midway phase of the hardware lifecycle. But we believe we have built a foundation on which we can pursue further growth opportunities for Nintendo Switch.”

BioShock Collection Could Be Headed For The Nintendo Switch

While we’re not sure when we might see another BioShock game released in the near future, the good news is that if you’re looking to replay the original BioShock trilogy, you could be in luck especially if you’re a Nintendo Switch owner. This is because according to a leak, it seems that the BioShock Collection could be headed to the console.

According to a post on the Taiwan rating board’s website, it has revealed the potential existence of the collection for the Switch. It should be noted that the remastered collection was previously released for the PS4 and Xbox One a few years ago, so for it to make its way onto the Switch doesn’t come as a surprise, especially given how popular the console is.
