If you are, you’re not alone, and it seems that Sony knows this too because according to separate reports from Bloomberg and Nikkei, it seems that Sony will be boosting the production of its PS5 by a huge margin in order to meet anticipated demand for their next-gen console.

The PS5 is expected to be released this year and instead of producing 5-6 million units, which is what some analysts have predicted, the reports are claiming that Sony might produce several million more where it could result in an initial production reaching as many as 9 to 10 million units of the PS5 console.

When it comes to backwards compatibility on consoles, it’s safe to say that Microsoft has done a much better job compared to Sony. For instance, the PS4 supports backwards compatibility with PS3 games, but that’s pretty much it, whereas the Xbox One supports the original Xbox and Xbox 360 games.

However, in a tweet by @Renak_schedule, they have discovered what appears to be a patent by Sony in which the company is looking at an idea on how to make its consoles more backwards compatible with older consoles, like the PS4, PS3, PS2, and the original PlayStation through the use of cloud gaming.

Now that the Sony PS5 has been more or less revealed in full, the next thing gamers are probably wondering is how much it will cost and when it will be available for purchase. The good news is that these details should be revealed in the next couple of weeks, at least that’s according to a recent tweet by Roberto Serrano’.

According to Serrano’s tweet, he claims that Sony is expected to reveal the PS5’s price and pre-orders on the 13th of July. While we shouldn’t be taking everything we read on the internet to be the truth, it should be noted that Serrano’ has in the past tweeted out several leaks that have proven to be accurate, such as confirming Sony’s PS5 event back in June before the company announced it themselves.

With Sony officially unveiling the PS5, there is still the question of pricing. Sony had previously hinted that it will not be cheap, but how much more expensive will it be compared to the PS4? That’s really anyone’s guess for now, but it seems that we now have an idea of how much the console could cost.

This is thanks to Ben Geskin who shared a screenshot on Twitter in which he stumbled across a listing for the console on Amazon France. According to the listing, the PS5 is priced at €499 for the standard version, and €399 for the Digital Edition (which doesn’t come with an optical drive). This roughly converts to around $565 and $450 respectively.

Neither the Sony PS5 nor Microsoft’s Xbox Series X have been released, but it seems that some analysts are already predicting that Sony will be winning the next-gen console war like they did with the PS4. This is according to Ampere Analysis who predicts that Sony will sell as many as 4.6 million units of the PS5 by the end of 2020, while Microsoft’s Xbox Series X will only manage 3.3 million units in the same period.

They even go one step further by predicting sales for the next four years, where they estimate that Sony’s lead over Microsoft will widen by the end of 2024, where the PS5 would have sold 66 million units versus the Xbox Series X’s 37 million units. Of course, these are just predictions and they might not necessarily come true, so it remains to be seen.

IO Interactive’s Hitman franchise has been around for a while now, although it was recently rebooted in the past few years. Then there was also that time a few years ago that IO Interactive parted ways with Square Enix which left some wondering about the future of the series.

IO had previously confirmed that development on future games had not ended, and it looks like they were true to their word because Hitman 3 has since been officially announced. The game is currently scheduled for a release in 2021, and while the game was announced during Sony’s PS5 event, the game will actually be available across multiple platforms, including previous generation consoles.
