Japanese anime and manga fans who love to dress up as their favorite characters are gathering in Tokyo for the World Cosplay Summit.
About 80 contestants from 40 countries and territories who have won local qualifiers will take part in the 17th event that opens on Saturday. The competition is being held in the Japanese capital for the first time.

"Kibou no Wooh" is the title track to Kato's new single to drop on September 26. The PV was directed by Kato Mani and shot in just one take. It starts with Kato singing by himself at a hall venue. At the end, he sings in front of about 200 fans with strings and piano backing him.
Japanese free messaging app giant Line Corp. said it will start a bicycle-sharing service with Beijing Mobike Technology Co., the world's largest bike rental company.
Line said Dec. 20 it would provide up to 20 percent of the capital of the Japanese subsidiary of Mobike and dispatch one of its executives to the subsidiary in early January.

Enjoying the best possible end to his week-long adventure in the dunes of Morocco, Yamalube Yamaha Official Rally Team rider Xavier de Soultrait has won the final stage of the Afriquia Merzouga Rally to claim an emphatic overall victory at the 2017 edition of the event. Wrapping up the rally in third overall his teammate Franco Caimi became the second of three Yamaha mounted riders to earn a spot inside the event's top five.
With the sixth and final stage of the rally involving a massive motocross-styled start and 50km of dune riding, it didn't take long for Xavier de Soultrait to take the lead. Staying fast despite navigation becoming more difficult as the stage went on, the WR450F Rally mounted rider reached the finish first to ensure a winning end to his week in Morocco.
When the 2017 Super GT season starts this weekend at the Okayama circuit in Japan, it will mark the race debut of the new Lexus LC GT500 .
The LC GT500 replaces the outgoing RC F model, and has been dominating the pre-season testing, scoring the quickest runs in every official session and taking the top five positions in four of those six sessions.
