Mazda Again Puts The Rotary Engine's Resurrection On The Back Burner

Mazda again puts the rotary engine's resurrection on the back burner

Mazda's on-again, off-again next-generation rotary engine is in limbo once more. It was unveiled as a range extender for the MX-30, but the firm backpedaled and said it's too early to tell when or if it will reach production.

"We are still considering using the rotary engine as a range extender, but the timing of its introduction is undecided," explained Mazda spokesperson Masahiro Sakata in an interview with industry trade journal Automotive News.

Maine Is Actively Deregistering Imported Mitsubishi Delicas — But Why?

Maine is actively deregistering imported Mitsubishi Delicas — but why?

Some weird things are going on in Maine. The Maine Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) is actively deregistering Mitsubishi Delicas that were imported to the United States and previously registered in Maine under the well-known 25-year federal import rule.

The folks at Crankshaft Culture brought this news to our attention and published a fairly detailed report at the beginning of the month. Ever since seeing that, we've been trying to track down more answers from the Maine BMV and Maine Secretary of State's office.

Suzuki Jimny Lcv Is A Bare - Bones Two - Seater

Suzuki Jimny LCV is a bare-bones two-seater

The Suzuki Jimny is a truly versatile vehicle, and we don't just mean in its prodigious off-road capabilities. Turns out, the compact 4x4 can be configured in a variety of ways to skirt the road tax rules and enthusiast demands of various markets, making it an even more desirable proposition for a budget four-wheeler.

The latest variant arrives in the form of the Jimny LCV for the U.K. market. That stands for Light Commercial Vehicle, and as such it's not subject to the same strict emissions rules as passenger cars. It also means that it doesn't come with any rear seats, expanding the cargo area to just a hair over 30 cubic feet.

An R34 Nissan Skyline Gt - R With Just 10 Miles Is For Sale

An R34 Nissan Skyline GT-R with just 10 miles is for sale

The Nissan Skyline GT-R was a legend on both street and circuit. As such, it was only natural that some enterprising collectors would stow some examples away for posterity (and profit). Many believe the R34 generation, built from 1999-2002, is the pinnacle of GT-R evolution, and now there is a rare V-Spec II Nür edition for sale with only 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) on its odometer.

The R34 Skyline GT-R was the last traditional GT-R. It was the last to wear the "Skyline" name and the last to have a straight-six engine, signature traits that can be traced back to performance Skylines of the 1960s.

Lexus Will Reportedly Usher In New Design Language With Global Ev

Lexus will reportedly usher in new design language with global EV

Lexus took its first steps in the electric car sector when it released the UX 300e, a compliance car developed for the Chinese and European markets. It's planning to launch a follow-up model in 2022, and the yet-unnamed EV will represent a much more serious attempt at capturing a slice of the segment in global markets than its predecessor.

British magazine Autocar reported that the next electric Lexus will take the form of a crossover built on the e-TNGA platform developed to underpin a large number of Toyota and Subaru models. It will be about the same size as the NX, one of the firm's best-selling models, but it will receive a specific design inspired by the LF-Z Electrified concept (pictured) introduced in March 2021. It will retain the spindle grille, though the feature will become more of a trim piece than an air vent, and the design study's wide rear light bar is expected to make the transition from the drawing board to the showroom floor. Some of these defining styling cues will permeate other models in the 2020s.

2022 Honda Civic Luggage Test | Not - So - Compact Trunk

2022 Honda Civic Luggage Test | Not-so-compact trunk

The 2022 Honda Civic sedan's trunk measures 14.8 cubic-feet, which is 0.3 cu-ft smaller than the old Civic's, but still really huge for a car labeled "compact." In fact, its trunk is basically the same size as that of the Mazda6 and within spitting distance of most other midsize sedans. It blows away various compact luxury models, including the Cadillac CT4 and BMW 2 Series Grand Coupe. On paper at least.

Let's take a look at how much there is in terms of actual luggage. I'll also compare it to the Honda Accord as well as the other compact sedan I've luggage tested, the Mazda3.
