Google Working On Assistant Chat Heads For Android

Google Working On Assistant Chat Heads For Android

One of the new features that Google is bringing to Android 11 are Bubbles. The concept of chat heads isn’t new and we’ve seen Facebook use it with Messenger in the past, but with Android 11, Google is bringing it about in a big way. In fact, according to 9to5Google, it seems that Google could be bringing its Assistant feature to Bubbles.

According to an APK teardown, they found evidence that suggests that Google is working on something called Assistant Chat Head. Similar to Bubbles, it shows how Google Assistant can float about on the Android home screen like a contact that you’re chatting with. For now, tapping on it summons Google Assistant.

Cuphead Is Now Available For The PS4

Yesterday it was reported that Studio MDHR’s indie hit Cuphead could be headed for the PS4. This was due to the fact that the game was spotted on the PSN Store, hinting at its arrival. The good news for those who have been looking forward to the game is that it looks like Cuphead is officially here and is already available for purchase.

The game is priced at $20 and gamers who are interested can head on over to the PlayStation Store to get their hands on it. That being said, the developers have also announced that as a thank you to Microsoft for helping them with the game, they have also announced a free special update exclusive to Xbox gamers.

There is no update for the dual SIM variant (XQ-AT52) at the time of writing, though this should follow shortly.

Cuphead Could Be Headed For The Ps4

Cuphead Could Be Headed For The PS4

When Cuphead was launched, it was initially exclusive to Microsoft’s Xbox and Windows platforms. However, the good news for non-Xbox gamers is that if you own a PS4 and were hoping to see the game released for your console, you might be pleased to learn that your wish could be granted.

This is because some gamers have spotted a listing for the game on PSN. However, it seems that the listing was for international PSN Stores, but we imagine that if it is released, it should be available globally. There is no word on when it will be launching, but given its listing, we imagine that it should be soon enough.

Canon Patents Lens Adapter With An Active Cooling System

Canon Patents Lens Adapter With An Active Cooling System

If you’re just a casual photographer, there’s a very low chance that you might encounter an issue where your camera overheats. This usually happens to more professional photographers who might take photos non-stop or who record lengthy videos in high resolution. However, it seems that Canon might have an answer to that problem.

In a patent discovered by Canon News, it looks like Canon’s answer to cameras overheating would be to create a lens adapter that comes with an active cooling system that will help keep the camera cool during operation. How this works is that this lens adapter will feature vents on the top and a fan on the bottom.

Leaked Photo Hints At Ps5's Customizability

Leaked Photo Hints At PS5's Customizability

With the PS4, when you bought the console you would need to choose the color right out of the gate. This is because once the console is chosen, you would basically have to live with your color choice. However, Sony could be thinking of making a different approach with the upcoming PS5 console.

In a post made on the A9VG forum, it shows several of the shell pieces of the PS5 presumably in a manufacturing facility somewhere. While we do expect that parts of the PS5 will be made separately, what’s interesting is the inside of these shells where it doesn’t appear to have any screws.

Alexa Will Soon Be Able To Control Ios And Android Apps

Alexa Will Soon Be Able To Control iOS And Android Apps

Apple’s iPhones and Google’s Android devices come with their own digital assistants in the form of Siri and Google Assistant. One of the advantages of having a native digital assistant is that it is deeply integrated into the operating system, allowing them to do things that third-party digital assistants can’t.

However, it seems that Amazon’s Alexa will soon start to creep into more iOS and Android apps as Amazon has announced what they are calling Alexa for Apps. This is a new feature that is currently in preview and basically what it does is that it allows Alexa more access to iOS and Android apps, where users who prefer using Alexa can now launch and control these apps to a certain extent.

The Nikon Z5 Mirrorless Camera Is Here And Will Cost $1,400

The Nikon Z5 Mirrorless Camera is Here And Will Cost $1,400

When Nikon first got into the mirrorless camera game, their efforts weren’t exactly well-received. The company later turned things around when they launched their new lineup of Z-series mirrorless cameras, and now it looks like they’re back with a new model in the form of the Nikon Z5.

This is the company’s “entry-level” mirrorless camera for its Z-series lineup and is priced starting at $1,400 for the body-only. However, despite it being an entry-level camera, it packs some decent hardware and could be a good gateway for photographers who are looking for a relatively inexpensive way into the full-frame camera segment.

The Iphone Se Is Attracting More Android Users Than Before

The iPhone SE Is Attracting More Android Users Than Before

Every year, it’s probably safe to assume that there are a number of iPhone users who decide that they want to make the switch to Android, and vice versa. There are many reasons for this, but for the iPhone SE, it seems that cost could be one of the main draws because according to Counterpoint Research, it has pulled in more Android users than before.

According to their data, the 2020 iPhone SE managed to attract 26% of Android users over to it. This seems to be higher than normal for Android users who are making the jump to Apple’s iPhones. According to Jeff Fieldhack, Counterpoint’s Research Director for North America, “Over 26% of iPhone SE users moved over from an Android device, which is higher than normal Android to iOS switching.”

Sony Might Limit Ps5 Orders To One Per Household

Sony Might Limit PS5 Orders To One Per Household

The Sony PS5 is expected to be released later this year. Given the popularity of the PlayStation series in general, we expect that there will most likely be a rush of gamers eager to place their orders. In order to ensure that gamers will be able to purchase the console, it seems that Sony could be employing a preventive measure that will limit one console purchase per household.

This is according to a post on Reddit in which it details the backend code for PlayStation Direct where it suggests that only one household may order one PS5 at a time. Presumably this is done to prevent people from purchasing multiple units at once in order to resell them at higher prices due to potential limited supply at the start.

Sony Could Boost PS5 Production To Meet COVID-19 Demand

Bored at home during the pandemic lockdown? If you are, you’re not alone, and it seems that Sony knows this too because according to separate reports from Bloomberg and Nikkei, it seems that Sony will be boosting the production of its PS5 by a huge margin in order to meet anticipated demand for their next-gen console.

The PS5 is expected to be released this year and instead of producing 5-6 million units, which is what some analysts have predicted, the reports are claiming that Sony might produce several million more where it could result in an initial production reaching as many as 9 to 10 million units of the PS5 console.

Microsoft Is Trying To Sneak Bing Into Outlook On Android

Microsoft Is Trying To Sneak Bing Into Outlook On Android

It goes without saying that Google is probably the most used search engine on the internet. It is, of course, not the only option out there even though the competition doesn’t quite command the same market share. However, it seems that it won’t stop companies like Microsoft from trying.

According to a post on Reddit, it was discovered that Microsoft had sneakily inserted the option to search using Bing into Outlook on Android. Users discovered this when they highlight a sentence or a word and long press on it, and they found that searching using Bing was one of the options presented to them.
