The 2021 Nissan Rogue was outed by Brazilian authorities last month and it appears their Argentinean neighbors wanted in on the fun as they've apparently revealed the production version of the Ariya concept.

Posted by cars_secerts, the patent images show a stylish crossover that closely echoes the Ariya which debuted at the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show.

Despite the similarities, there are a handful of minor changes which indicate this is the production model and not the concept. The most noticeable change is a revised lower air intake which features four verticals supports instead of the one used on the concept. We can also see new fog lights and what appears to be turn signals.

Additional changes are limited, but we can see more conventional door handles and a modified rear bumper. These are small revisions, but it’s interesting the production model could keep the concept’s aerodynamic rear spoiler and bumper.

When Nissan unveiled the concept last year, the company was coy on technical specifications but confirmed the Ariya measured 181.1 inches (4600 mm) long, 75.6 inches (1920 mm) wide and 64.2 inches (1630 mm) tall. That’s a little bit smaller than the outgoing Rogue.

The company also confirmed the model rode on a dedicated electric vehicle platform and was equipped with a dual motor all-wheel drive system known as e-4ORCE. Nissan has previously said the system will deliver "power and handling on par with many premium sports cars." The powertrain also employs regenerative braking, via the motors, to minimize pitch and dive to create a smoother ride in stop-and-go traffic.

Little else is known about the production Ariya, but its development will likely be twinned with the production version of the Infiniti QX Inspiration concept. Infiniti has previously said that mid-sized concept previews their first fully-electric vehicle.
