Orange Juice From Faucets Becomes Reality

Orange juice from faucets becomes reality

A long-running joke that orange juice flows like water in western Japan's Ehime Prefecture has come true.

Two faucets serving up the fruit juice have been set up at an orange festival that started in a department store in the city of Matsuyama on Saturday.

The joke that orange juice comes out of faucets in the prefecture started outside Ehime Prefecture, which is known as one of Japan's largest producers of oranges and other citrus fruit.

Families and other visitors took the opportunity to serve themselves a glass of fresh orange juice free of charge.

A woman in her 30s said she was surprised to see faucets producing orange juice and at no cost.

The event will run through Sunday.
