Fujifilm X-s10 Mirrorless Camera Launched

Fujifilm X-S10 Mirrorless Camera Launched

We have been hearing the rumors that Fujifilm could be working on a new mid-range digital camera in the form of the X-S10. Turns out the rumors were spot on because the company has since officially taken the wraps off their latest mirrorless camera in the form of the Fujifilm X-S10.

With the X-S10, it seems that Fujifilm is joining other companies such as Sony by creating cameras that seem to be designed for vloggers in mind. This comes in the form of a fully articulating display that lets the user see if they’re in frame when the camera is pointed at themselves. There is also built-in image stabilization, along with support for microphone input.

Don't Hold Your Breath For More Microsoft Titles On The Nintendo Switch

Then there were Xbox exclusive tiles like Cuphead and Ori and the Will of the Wisps that eventually made their way to the Switch, but it seems that maybe moving forwards, we probably shouldn’t hold our breath when it comes to expecting more Microsoft or Xbox titles arrive for Nintendo’s console.

This is according to Microsoft’s Phil Spencer who during an interview with Kotaku, said that considering titles for the Switch on a case-by-case basis is not sustainable. He notes, “In order to really support it, I would want a full Xbox ecosystem somewhere. And that probably means things like Live and Game Pass and stuff.”

Ps5 Owners Will Be Able To Record Voice Chats And Send It To Sony For Moderation

PS5 Owners Will Be Able To Record Voice Chats And Send It To Sony For Moderation

Sony has since updated its blog to clarify what the feature actually does, and it seems to be more about moderation and dealing with harassers and toxic gamers rather than spying on users.

According to Sony, “Voice chat recording for moderation is a feature that will be available on PS5 when it launches, and will enable users to record their voice chats on PS5 and submit them for moderation review. The pop up you’re seeing on PS4 right now is to let you know that when you participate in a chat with a PS5 user (post-launch), they may submit those recordings from their PS5 console to SIE.”

Sony Brings Imaging Edge Webcam Utility To Macos

Sony Brings Imaging Edge Webcam Utility To macOS

Back in August, Sony announced and released the Imaging Edge Webcam tool for Windows. For those unfamiliar, this is a software that lets you plug your Sony digital camera into your computer and use it as a webcam. The good news is that it looks like the software is now available for macOS as well.

The software is essentially the same as the Windows version, where as long as you have a compatible Sony camera, all you need to do is connect a camera to your Mac computer, and you should be able to use it as a webcam with your favorite video conferencing software almost immediately.

Nikon Z6 Ii, Z7 Ii Mirrorless Cameras Announced

Nikon Z6 II, Z7 II Mirrorless Cameras Announced

While Nikon has attempted mirrorless cameras in the past, the company’s initial launch was met with a lukewarm response. The company then tried again with their new Z series which proved to be much more popular, and now the company is back with the second-generation of mirrorless cameras based off the first Z series – the Nikon Z6 II and the Z7 II.

Obviously both cameras are different from each other, but they will also share quite a number of similar features. For starters, both cameras feature a magnesium alloy body that has also been weather-sealed to ensure that they do not get damaged by the elements. They will also both feature the use of Nikon’s dual EXPEED 6 processors to process the images taken by the company, and will come with an enhanced focus system, and support for 4K video capture of up to 60p.

Panasonic Unveils Lumix BGH1 Mirrorless Four Thirds Camera For Video

There are many cameras in the market today, and for the most part, a lot of them look rather similar to each other. However, it seems that Panasonic wants to challenge the norm by unveiling the Lumix BGH1. As you can see in the photo above, this is a camera that sports a boxy-like design.

According to Panasonic, the Lumix BGH1 is a mirrorless four thirds camera that has apparently been designed for video in mind. The company envisions the camera being used together with other devices like drones, or being used in multi-camera setups, or even live streaming. So much so that Panasonic has actually included Power over Ethernet+, meaning that it can be powered by the same cable that it would use to connect to a network.

Sony Ps5's Name Has Been Trademark In India, Except It Wasn't By Sony

Sony PS5's Name Has Been Trademark In India, Except It Wasn't By Sony

While Sony has been opening up pre-orders for its PS5 around the world, India has oddly been left off the list. Obviously Sony isn’t going to ignore such a massive market such as India, so what’s the deal? As it turns out, it could be a legal issue because it appears that someone in India has trademarked the PS5 name, and it wasn’t Sony.

According to a report from The Mako Reactor, a Delhi resident by the name of Hitesh Awani had actually filed for the trademark for the PS5 name back in October 2019, based on public records. This would have effectively prevented Sony from using the name, which would be problematic if they wanted to launch the console in India.

As you can see in the image above, it looks like it will be much smaller than the flagship X-T4.

The Ps5's Fan Seems To Be A Massive Improvement Over The Ps4

The PS5's Fan Seems To Be A Massive Improvement Over The PS4

Like most computers, the PS5 comes with a built-in fan to deal with heating. As the console plays more intensive games, components start to heat up and the fan speed is kicked up to help address the heat generated by the console to prevent overheating. This is normal, but unlike the PS4, the PS5’s fan seems to be a huge improvement in terms of noise levels.

We’ve all come across PCs, laptops, and consoles that have extremely loud fans. Sometimes it’s not noticeable over the sound of the game you’re playing, but if you are the type that’s sensitive to noise, then this could be an issue. However, an early hands-on review by Japanese YouTube channel 4Gamer, they found that while playing games like Godfall, the PS5’s fan seems to be relatively quiet.

It seems that Apple’s TV ambitions are starting to grow because according to multiple reports, Apple is apparently planning to bring its Apple TV app to more platforms like the Xbox and PlayStation consoles.

The initial report came from Windows Central who claimed that Apple is working with Microsoft to bring the Apple TV app to Xbox consoles. The feature was actually spotted by some Xbox Insiders and later corroborated by Windows Central themselves. 9to5Mac later followed up by saying that Apple is also working with Sony on a similar feature, although they also note that for the PlayStation, there could also be HomeKit support.
