Xperia 1 Ii's Hs Power Control Feature Bypasses Battery Charging To Maximise Gaming Performance

Xperia 1 II's HS Power Control feature bypasses battery charging to maximise gaming performance

Sony has a new feature in its ‘Game Enhancer' app called H.S. Power Control which will be a godsend to those who want to maximise the gaming performance on the Xperia 1 II (Mark 2). In a nutshell, this new feature prevents the battery in the phone from charging whilst a charger is plugged in.

So why might you want to do that? Well the H.S. stands for Heat Suppression, which might give you a clue. By enabling the feature and stop the phone’s battery from charging, you can reduce overheating as well as battery degradation. This means that the performance during gaming can be maximised.

This is a neat feature that we can imagine some people would like to be enabled across the phone, rather than just being limited to gaming. For example for watching long videos, where you can plug the phone in and prevent degrading your battery. Check out some videos below showing the feature in action.
