Infiniti wants a bigger slice of the huge crossover pie, so it is preparing the introduction of yet another model: the QX55.
We're hours away from the official unveiling of the 2022 Subaru BRZ sports coupe. To coincide with what would have been the week of the 2020 Los Angeles Auto Show, Subaru will unveil the new BRZ to the world on Wednesday, Nov. 18, at 9 a.m. EST.
The live reveal will be hosted on Subaru's 2022 BRZ landing page, which currently houses teaser videos of the redesigned coupe being driven on some gorgeous mountain roads. We will update this post if Subaru provides any other means to watch the unveiling.
The 2022 Honda Civic will finally be unveiled tonight, and you can watch the reveal of the small sedan right here. It starts at 9:45 p.m. Eastern and will be broadcast on Twitch, but we'll have the stream included on this post, too.
We've actually seen a fair bit of the new Honda Civic thanks to patent renderings of both the sedan and hatchback bodystyles, which you can see at the embedded links. What we've seen so far is that the design will be heavily influenced by the current Accord. We also know that the coupe has been cancelled, but there will be Si and Type R variants coming down the road.
The car reveals are coming in quick succession today, and last up is the 2022 Infiniti QX55. Infiniti will be hosting a stream at 8:55 p.m. ET tonight to reveal the crossover coupe version of its popular QX50. Artist Aloe Blacc will be hosting the event and hyping the car up from the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles. Additionally, Infiniti will have designers and executives on hand to speak about the car and its development and background.
If this reveal is anything like the Nissan Z Proto reveal, expect a number of folks on hand and a detailed look at the crossover. You can watch it all in the video stream at the top of this post via YouTube.
File this one to the "we'll believe it when we see it" folder. Toyota is apparently now the owner of a patent for an autonomous tanker vehicle that refuels or recharges your car "on the fly." While that conjures images of a Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker extending a fuel boom to an F-16, it's unclear from the filing whether the cars would be in motion or parked.
This seems to be a high-level patent, one where a company is simply staking a claim to an idea rather than having a fleshed-out product. Discovered by The Drive, it shows a nondescript boxy trailer that contains the various types of fuel. It's attached to an autonomous car that can be summoned by a customer, who provides the make and model of their car and selects different octane grades of petrol, diesel, hydrogen, or recharging for EVs.

You take one look at the 2021 Subaru Crosstrek and you're bound to go, "well that doesn't look like it has much space." Popping open the hatch will do nothing to change that opinion. You may even assume that since the Crosstrek is just a lifted Impreza hatchback that more traditional crossover SUVs would be able to hold more stuff.
Well, the Crosstrek certainly isn't a big vehicle. And judging by the number I see here in Portland, Ore., with Yakima or Thule roof carriers, owners are apt to need more space than they provide. However, Subaru's smallest crossover (or lifted hatchback, if you prefer) is bigger than it looks. On paper, it has 20.8 cubic feet of space behind its back seat, which is more than most subcompact crossovers like the Hyundai Kona, Jeep Renegade, etc. Only the Nissan Kicks and Honda HR-V have more. So too does the Kia Seltos, though it's a half-size larger than the Crosstrek in the growing in-betweener compact crossover segment.
Despite Sony’s best attempts, the PS5 was too hyped where initial stocks ran out in a very short amount of time. So much so that according to sightings on eBay, it seems that there are some people who are reselling PS5 units for crazy amounts of money, where some are being sold for $2,000. We can’t be sure if all these listings are legit to begin with, and we’re pretty sure that there are bound to be a few scammers who are trying to make a quick buck.
Few performance cars have captured the attention of car enthusiasts in 2020 quite like the Toyota GR Yaris. Even less have been so divisive, with some reviewers panning it – like JDM Masters (see the review here), while others are commending it, as is the case with this test by Jonny Smith from The Lake Brake Show who recently had the opportunity to put one through its paces in the UK.
Autonomous or self-driving cars appear to be something we can look forward to in the future, but in case you didn’t know, there are actually different levels to autonomy. For the most part, a lot of self-driving cars being developed today and are on the streets, like those made by Tesla, are considered a level 2.
These cars can drive by themselves, but will still require a human behind the wheel. They can steer, brake, and accelerate on their own as well. However, level 3 is where it gets interesting and is a goal that companies are working towards, and it is also something that Honda hopes they’ll be the first to achieve in terms of mass production.
TOKYO — Honda said on Wednesday it will be the world's first automaker to mass produce sensor-packed Level 3 autonomous cars that will allow drivers to let their vehicles navigate congested expressway traffic.
"Honda is planning to launch sales of a Honda Legend (luxury sedan) equipped with the newly approved automated driving equipment" before the end of March 2021, Honda said in a press release. The Honda Legend is mechanically similar to the Acura RLX sold in the United States.
We won't bury the lede. The 2021 Honda Accord is still a stupendous sedan and arguably the best in its segment. The car was completely revamped for 2018, and none of its competition have overtaken it since. Some among us will contend that the Mazda6 is top dog for pure driving enjoyment, but the Accord stands tall alongside the Mazda and is only getting better as this latest generation is treated to its mid-cycle update.
That said, there is one specific change that does have us bummed, and that's the loss of the manual transmission. With a take rate of just 2%, Honda decided it wasn't worth the trouble anymore. Guess you'll just have to buy a Civic Type R.
A new reports says that Subaru has "no plans" to launch its upcoming second-generation BRZ in Europe. If true, that means the 100-unit Final Edition announced earlier this year for the German market is truly the final edition for the Old World.
Furthermore, according to the UK's Autocar, which reported the news, the BRZ "will be a U.S.-only model." That would indicate that even Subaru's home market of Japan would be denied access to the lightweight sports coupe, which seems unlikely. Toyota has been very tight-lipped about its own 86 version, so it's not clear which markets the BRZ's twin would be sold in.
There are a number of wild Hot Wheels cars that have actually spawned life-size replicas, and this Toyota C-HR that was spotted recently seems to be owned by someone who wanted to make their SUV look like a Hot Wheels car.
